The standard power output is 83 hp, but if you choose a larger battery pack, you will also get a more powerful 101-hp electric motor. The upgrade costs €64,900. Moreover, if you wish, you can also order modifications of later models, such as the T2 and T3. The range also includes a special kit for an old Beetle which costs €39,900. You will need to pay extra €15,900 if you want a larger battery and a more powerful engine. However, the most interesting thing is that you can not only upgrade your retro car today, but also buy a new one from the company. The cost of such a purchase reaches €99,900. The motor and battery used are supplied by Volkswagen and are similar to what the manufacturer installs in its electric models.

The electric Volkswagen T1 E-Bulli has a lower power output. However, it is almost twice the performance of the original even without a more powerful engine. Its maximum speed has increased from 105 km/h to 130 km/h. It will be able to drive more than 200 km on a single battery charge. You will need only 40 minutes and a fast 50-kW power supply unit to recharge the battery up to 80%.

VW claims that the e-Bulli performs much better than the original thanks to the modern platform it runs on. It all comes down to «multi-channel front and rear axles with adjustable shock absorbers and coil struts, as well as new rack-and-pinion steering and four vented disc brakes.»

Subtle interior and exterior modifications distinguish the e-Bulli from the unchanged classics. It is equipped with LED daytime running lights built into the headlights, and there is also an LED charge indicator on the outside. Inside, the main modification you may notice is the addition of a modern VW automatic gearshift, as well as a start/stop button and a digital display built into the standard analog speedometer.
