Mercedes and BMW Beware: Alfa Romeo Has Released a Real Beast

Alfa Romeo never ceases to surprise with new cars, which more and more show their belonging to the amazing pure Italian cars each time.

The latest Giulia Qudrifoglio produces 510 hp, but the company's engineers considered this insufficient, having rolled out two new versions of the already powerful sedan. The cancellation of the Geneva International Motor Show due to coronavirus made the debut of these modifications not as epic as it could have been, but the cars were still presented and we were able enjoy them enough.

Both versions — the GTA and GTAm — are equipped with the same 2.9-liter V6 from Alfa Romeo, which now produces 532 hp. The name of the cars means ‘Gran Turismo Alleggerita’. Specifications of the cars are identical, but outwardly they are two completely different animals. The GTA looks very aggressive. Indeed, the engineers have worked very hard on weight reduction and aerodynamics, as a result of which the Giulia has acquired bright side skirts, a special rear spoiler, an active front splitter, as well as many other features.

The model really looks much more powerful and aggressive, but this all does not matter in comparison with the GTAm. It seems that the latter was put on steroids: a huge spoiler, a large front splitter and more. The two variants have received a wheel gauge extended by 50 mm and a new set of springs. Besides, the cars have significantly lost weight, as well as have got a bass exhaust system by Acrapovic, a carbon fiber diffuser and 20-inch wheels.
