Citroen Introduces the Electric SpaceTourer MPV

Citroen has electrified the SpaceTourer MPV. The novelty is equipped with a 50-kWh battery installed underbody, which provides a 230-km drive range (WLTP).

The MPV with a 75-kWh battery will also be available in Europe. This model can travel up to 330 km on a single charge.

The e-SpaceTourer is powered by an electric motor with a power output of 136 hp and 260. However, the power can vary depending on the selected driving mode, which is offered three at once – Eco, Normal, and Power. The Normal mode lowers the power output to 109 hp and 210 Nm, offering a better combination of performance and range. The engine output drops to 82 hp and 180 Nm in the Eco mode.

A top speed of the e-MPV in all three modes is limited to 130 km/h. As for the charger, the SpaceTourer comes with a single-phase 7.4-kW or three-phase 11-kW unit. The car also supports fast charging up to 100 kW, which allows recharging its battery pack up to 80% in 30 minutes.

The interior of the e-SpaceTourer includes a new dashboard that displays information about the EV status and an infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen supplemented by a battery monitoring function. The vehicle can accommodate 10 people. The seat layout can be changed depending on the preferences of customers.

The Citroen e-SpaceTourer MPV will be released in Europe at the end of 2020.
