Craftsmen from the United States have built an incredible hot rod based on the classic 1968 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40.

The car has a surprising design and equipment.

This Land Cruiser was shown last fall at the SEMA. But only now Autoevolution has shared details about the SUV.

The modified Toyota SUV that looks more like a crazy toy was built by Mad Goat Customs. The car has received a «stripped-down» body height, a very low suspension with double wishbones (the stock model had leaf springs installed), and special racing wheels. Still, its most important weapon is an engine (a 5.0-liter SOHC V12 with an aluminum construction). We are talking about a BMW M70 powertrain, which was installed on the 750i Sedan and 850i Coupe in the early 1990s.

The name of the car is «Voodoo Cruiser»: its name can probably be an allusion to Voodoo Blue (an exclusive blue color that Toyota used for the modern FJ Cruiser, which was discontinued four years ago).

It is worth noting that the classic Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 diverges among collectors and at auctions for a lot of money today. The model is estimated at $100,000 on average. However, few of them are subjected to radical alterations: these cars are often restored to their original condition.
