A Cyclist's Dream: The Mercedes-Benz Pickup From Carlex Design

Carlex Design has presented a pickup for cycling fans based on the Mercedes-Benz X-Class.

The Mercedes-Benz X-Class has already become history, since the company announced its total phase-out. Despite this fact, design studios continue to present modified versions of this model. Pickup Design, a branch of the world-famous Carlex Design from Poland, has also rolled out its own version of the pickup. This is not the first time when the X-Class has been upgraded, but this project is one of the most ambitious and, as a result, one of the most expensive.

The project is called Exy Viale Bike Tour Set and is designed for cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts. It includes not only a modified pickup truck, but also a travel trailer. The pickup and caravan are made in a single style and are painted in black and red with white accents. The pickup has received expanded wheel arches, a redesigned grille, an aggressive bumper, a new hood, carbon fiber inserts and 22-inch wheels with special overlays. The design is completed by a electric lifting system for transporting three bicycles. It is installed in the trunk in a way that does not affect its capacity.

The design studio has also developed a special trailer that attaches to the X-Class with a tow bar. It differs from most trailers due to its elegant design. The tuners did not provide photos of the car's interior, but it is known that it contains four beds, a bathroom and a kitchen.

Prices for the Exy Viale Bike Tour Set, as well as its technical characteristics, are still kept secret. A price tag will definitely not be low, since only a bike rack costs €4,495.
