Dwayne Johnson Does Not Get Into Porsche Taycan and Disrupts Shooting of Film

Shooting for one of the most expensive Netflix movies has got stuck due to the size of the actor.

American wrestler and actor Dwayne Johnson, also known by his ring name the Rock, has unwittingly violated the plans of the film crew shooting “Red Notice”. It has turned out that Johnson is too large for a Porsche Taycan – the actor just does not fit into it.

Johnson was to star at the wheel of a Taycan in a classic chase scene. As the actor explained on Instagram, the idea for a white Porsche came to the mind of the action movie director Rawson Marshall Thurber, who had carefully thought out the entire scene and had also spent a lot of money and time to deliver the car to the set.

However, everything did not go according to plan: all of Johnson's attempts to get behind the wheel of a Porsche failed. The actor, who is 1.96 m tall and weighs 118 kg, said that his back had been too wide to fit in the electric vehicle. According to him, he “tried to squeeze into the car like a big brown marshmallow into a coin slot.”

At first, the crew could not believe their eyes, but after a few more futile attempts, they had to admit that the scene would have to be changed. However, it was still managed to film this scene on the same day. According to Johnson, the crew “creatively” approached the task and demonstrated their ability to think quickly. It is not yet known what decision the team came to.

The budget of the film “Red notice”, which Netflix has been shooting together with Universal, is about $188 million. The action movie, starring Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot, will be released next year.

In September, a similar problem was faced by basketball player Shaquille O’Neal, who wanted to ride a Tesla Model S. The electric vehicle was also too small for him: the 2.16-meter basketball player had a hard time but he still managed to get into the Tesla in the end.
