First "Neoclassical" IsoRivolta GTZ Handed Over to Buyer

The car is built on the running gear of the Chevrolet Corvette Z06.

The first copy of the Zagato Iso Rivolta GTZ, which was announced in July, has been handed over to a buyer. The berlinetta, which design, according to the company, uses a neoclassical approach, pays tribute to the historical Iso Grifo A3/L. However, the GTZ is built not on the original chassis but on that of the Chevrolet Corvette Z06.

In general, the Zagato project is tailored according to the same patterns as the classic Iso Grifo A3 but with its own features. Instead of the original chassis, the Italians use the equipment of the time-tested Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C7), borrowing even a 6.2-liter air-injection V8 LT4 (660 hp / 881 Nm) from the donor car. However, it was about a completely different unit a few months ago, namely a 6.8-liter V8.

The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 could have been equipped with either a 7-speed Tremec manual gearbox or a Hydramatic 8L90 automatic transmission with steering paddles, but the IsoRivolta GTZ, apparently, has only got the second option. According to Zagato, the neoclassical coupe accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds. A top speed is 315 km/h.
