The Ford Wolftrak: What Is Hidden Behind the New Name

Ford has registered a new name for the new production model — the Wolftrak.

Ford has filed an application with the European Union Intellectual Property Office for the registration of a new trademark — the Wolftrak. According to a user of newf150forum.com named Maize, the application was registered on March 16, 2020.

The automaker already uses a similar name — the Ranger Wildtrak — in some world markets. A special version of the Ford Ranger is sold under this name. It differs from the standard model in its special graphics, wheels, radiator grille design and decor. As suggested by journalists, another special variant of the Ranger, as well as the F-150 or Bronco, can enter the market under the name of Wolftrak.

The latest version is the most plausible. Since the revived Ford Bronco is positioned as a global model, it could well have a special variant — the Bronco Wolftrak. A possibility of using the new name for Bronco modifications in North America is not excluded. However, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office do not mention any similar application.

‘The Bronco Wolftrak’ is assumed to be released during the first production year of the SUV.
