Hyundai's Unexpected Competitor to Toyota's Body-On-Frame SUVs

Hyundai’s line-up may be updated with a new model, namely a large body-on-frame SUV.

The rapid development of the SUV segment cannot be stopped. However, there is one area where competition has slowed down a bit. We are talking about full-size powerful body-on-frame SUVs. Not all manufacturers have acquired such models, and the leader here is still the Toyota Land Cruiser, which Kia also wants to compete with. Hyundai decided to contribute to the development of this niche.

According to insiders, the company intends to introduce a body-on-frame SUV in the near future. Presumably, it will be called Pavise, or even Terracan. The new model will compete not only with the iconic Toyota Land Cruiser but also with such models as the Chevrolet Tahoe and the Nissan Patrol. The manufacturer has not yet pleased fans with images of the new car. Therefore, the independent artist Enoch Gonzalez has presented his version.

In his opinion, the future body-on-frame SUV will be made in the current style of the brand but with certain innovations that will add brutality to the model. So, the branded radiator grille is stripped of chrome plated crossbars in the central part. There is also a stylish solution of two-tier headlights with thin upper DRLs. The design of the rear end echoes the Kuga SUV.

Hyundai has not yet commented on these images, nor has it confirmed the development of such a car. However, the profitability of this segment is so attractive that the probability of the model's release is high.
