This Is How a Street Artist Sees the BMW M2 Competition

BMW in collaboration with famous street artist FUTURA 2000 will release the limited BMW M2 Edition.

Street artist Leonard Hilton McGurr known under the pseudonym FUTURA 2000 has created four art objects, one of which is presented at Frieze Los Angeles, Hollywood. This is a BMW M2 Competition with a unique hand-painted pattern on the front and rear bumpers, and decorated linings on the fascia and center tunnel. In total, the company plans to release 500 such cars.

In addition to the graphics, the coupes will stand out with black 19-inch wheels, a black interior with decorative blue stitching and ivory inserts, as well as a special nameplate including a car series number and the artist's autograph.

It is not reported how much the BMW M2 by FUTURA 2000 will cost. There is also no information about the other three cars that the street artist had a hand in.

The BMW M2 Competition is equipped with a 3.0-liter I6 Twin-Turbo S55 (410 hp / 550 Nm) and a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The coupe accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds with the manual transmission and 4.2 with the semi-automatic one. A top speed is 250 km/h. The M Driver package increases this indicator with additional 30 km/h.
