It Takes 430 Hours to Paint: Look at the Color of the New McLaren GT

McLaren Special Operations (MSO) has built a "green" McLaren GT with a cashmere interior. It is called the Verdant Theme GT.

All their efforts were directed at creating a unique color for the McLaren GT body. It is covered with green paint in three shades: Horsell, Arbor and Steppe Green. The color of the coating smoothly transitions from one shade to another and changes depending on the lighting and angle of view.

The effect of a chameleon-like color was possible due to a special technology of applying varnish. It took 430 hours. The image is complemented by hand-applied bright Napier Green stripes on the bottom of the body and on the front splitter. Brake calipers are finished in the same color. Also, the Grand Tourer has got specially designed multi-spoke wheels with a glossy black finish. Window trim and exhaust pipes are also painted in glossy black.

The interior of the Verdant Theme GT is finished in anthracite, dark green and bay leaf green leather. The lower dashboard, sun visors, central tunnel, door cards and seats with headrests are covered in dark gray natural cashmere. This is the first car of the British brand with a cashmere interior. The chrome plated decor was replaced with a special finish from MSO, including pedal pads. The division's logos are emblazoned on the seat headrests. The company did not forget to decorate the salon with a special nameplate.
