Jeep Announces the Complete Electrification of Its Models

Electrification has literally overwhelmed the modern car industry. Manufacturers strive to convert all models produced to electric drive, and they do not forget about the development of new electric cars and hybrids. Jeep also joined this trend.

The company has already introduced electrified variants of the Renegade, Compass and Wrangler. It has now started developing a full-fledged EV.

In this way, Jeep intends to attract new customers, as well as reach a completely new level for itself. It is important not to forget about the strict requirements for CO2 emissions, which have become an additional impetus to the electrification of Jeep’s model range.

There was a little evolution every year, but there’s a big revolution happening now. To make Jeep the greenest, most sustainable SUV company is a little bit of a challenge, but it’s the most exciting one. There are a lot of things we are working on, like BEV (battery electric vehicles)

said Jeep’s global president Christian Meunier.

According to the plan, Jeep’s lineup will consist of 10 plug-in hybrids and 4 new EVs by 2020. The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon will be the first all-electric model.
