Legendary Jeeps to Become Electric

Jeep will present three hybrid models at once at CES in Las Vegas.

According to ABOUTCARS, Jeep will bring electrified configurations of its popular models to CES 2020. Hybrid SUVs will be the first representatives of the new model line to use «green» technologies and get their own «4xe» logo.

The new models will be the first step towards creating a full line of electrified Jeep cars, which the manufacturer promises to launch before 2022. The modernization program of the model range involves the use of various technologies, including auxiliary electric engines, recharging PHEV hybrids and fully electric cars.

It should be reminded that Jeep showed prototypes of the new Renegade and Compass models with hybrid powertrains at the Geneva International Motor Show in March 2019, and now the cars will go into mass production.

The strategy of electrification of Jeep’s models will reduce the average CO2 emissions in the company’s model line, as well as demonstrate new technologies of the iconic American brand.
