The Mazda CX-30 Is Crash Tested

The 2020 Mazda CX-30 received the "good" mark in almost all categories and the "Top Safety Pick" title.

When choosing a car, consumers take into account not only its performance, dynamics, comfort, innovation, but also safety. In this regard, all new vehicles are tested in specialized reputable organizations, such as the Euro NCAP and IIHS.

This time, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) conducted crash tests of the compact SUV –the 2020 Mazda CX-30. The vehicle was tested in six categories, including driver and front passenger protection, roof and headrest strength, front crash prevention, and side impact protection. As a result, the SUV was rated “good” in all categories, and the work of electronic assistants was rated “superior”.

Despite such high ratings, the SUV failed to receive the “Top Safety Pick+” award. The fault is in the quality of headlights, which were recognized by experts as too bright and received a «poor”. As a result, the new Mazda CX-30 was awarded “Top Safety Pick».
