Million-Mile Nissan Frontier Owner Receives New Pickup

Nissan has decided to give a million-mile Frontier owner (it is known as Navara in the US) a new car.

Nissan has decided to give Chicago-area courier Brian Murphy, who has been driving his 2007 Frontier more than a million miles (about 1,600,000 km), a new car. Murphy said in his interview with The Drive that he planned to purchase a Frontier with a new 3.8-liter petrol V6 and a 9-speed automatic transmission (Murphy set the millionth mileage on a pickup truck with a 2.5-liter petrol V4 and a 5-speed manual transmission).

Murphy said that he planned to work for at least another 6 years — so the new car will be useful to him. He was invited to the Chicago Auto Show to configure his new Frontier.

Murphy's current Frontier, which has traveled more than a million miles, is bound for Nissan's corporate museum in Nashville, Tennessee.
