The hatchback is powered by a hybrid powertrain based on a 1.4-liter turbo petrol V4, an electric motor, and a six-speed semi-automatic S tronic gearbox. The first unit produces 150 hp, and a power output of the second is increased compared to its predecessor by 7 hp (109 hp). As a result, the hybrid accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.6 seconds and reaches a top speed is 227 km/h (or 140 km/h when driving on electricity).

Externally, the hybrid differs from the usual A3 in the presence of a charging port cover on the front fender and redesigned wheels (15-inch wheels are installed by default; 16 -inch or 17-inch ones are available as an option). There are also differences inside: the place of a tachometer is occupied by a display indicating a battery level and a drive range.
