New Chevrolet Captiva Receives Chinese-Like Design

The Chevrolet crossover that survived the restyling has been changed a little in design and has got a vertical touchscreen tablet.

Despite the fact that the second-generation Captiva debuted just 2 years ago, the model is ready for a restyling. Since it is not the manufacturer's own development but is based on the Chinese Baojun 530, it will be updated on the same principle. It is worth noting that the restyled 2022 Chevrolet Captiva will inherit the design of the 2019 Chinese model.

External transformations of the Chevrolet Captiva relate to a radiator grille and bumpers. DRLs integrated into a single strip are now even narrower than before. Besides, the new Chevrolet Captiva has 18-inch wheels.

There are no full-fledged photos of the restyled crossover's interior. But thanks to some fragments, you can still get a general idea. One of the innovations is a vertical tablet. The Chevrolet Captiva will also get a new dashboard, a panoramic roof, parking sensors and a rear-view camera. The crossover will be available in five-seat and seven-seat versions.

There is no information about its engine range at the moment. Presumably, the model will be equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo V4 (147 hp). The unit will come with a CVT or manual transmission.

The restyled crossover will soon be available in Mexico, only then it well be released in other markets.
