GM’s New Electric Cars to Be with the Honda Logo: Partnership Details

Honda will release two new EVs by 2024.

Despite the pandemic and market disruption, the car manufacturers continue to develop new models. So, Honda decided to join the global trend and launch two new electric cars on the market. To do this, the company has signed a new partnership agreement with General Motors.

Honda's electric vehicles will be based on General Motors' new electric platform and will be powered by the Ultium battery packs, also developed by the American manufacturer. The platform is very flexible and can become the basis for any vehicle – from a sedan to a truck. At the same time, the architecture of future EVs will be designed in accordance with Honda’s style. The company will also create a unique interior and exterior design for them.

As for the production, it will be established at the facilities of GM’s plants in North America. The new cars will be released in 2024.
