New Haval F5 Unveiled

The new Haval F5 will debut next year.

The database of the Ministry of Industry of China contains images of the Haval F5 completely devoid of camouflage. From there, the images have been leaked to the Internet. So, the new model, which will not be officially shown until next year, has been declassified before the premiere.

The current Haval F5, built on the front-wheel-drive Haval H6/WAY V6 platform, was released in 2018. Now, it is already preparing for a full-fledged generation change. According to preliminary data, the crossover will move to the new Lemon platform. The new car will get a redesigned exterior with a new radiator grille, headlights and air ducts but without black plastic around the body. Its rear bumper is now devoid of chrome plating and taillights are connected by a wide bar.

The new crossover will be slightly smaller than its predecessor: length – 4,450 mm (-20 mm), width – 1,841 mm (-16 mm), height – 1,618 mm (-20 mm), wheelbase – 2,700 mm.

The powertrain will remain the same. According to Chinese media, the Haval F5 will be driven by a 1.5-liter turbo GW4G15K engine with direct injection, producing up to 150 hp. It comes with a seven-speed GWM 7DCT450 semi-automatic gearbox.
