New Hyundai Tucson to Receive Powerful Version

New details about the Tucson N Line have emerged.

Hyundai has published official images of the most powerful Tucson in the line-up: the fourth-generation crossover will get a new N Line version. The novelty differs from the standard model in design and is expected to get a 294-hp engine as that of the recently introduced Sonata N Line.

Judging by the published photos, the Tucson N Line now has a more aggressive exterior design due to new bumpers, a larger air intake and a wide silvery diffuser. Besides, tail turn signals are not integrated with taillights, as these of the standard model, but are shifted lower.

As for the powertrain, there is no official information yet. Most likely, the Tucson N Line will be equipped with a 2.5-liter turbo SmartStream engine (294 hp / 422 Nm). In this case, the new crossover will be the most powerful in the line-up.

The Hyundai Tucson was upgraded in mid-September, 2020. As standard, the fourth-generation crossover is equipped with a 1.6-liter turbo petrol V4 (150 hp) and a 1.6-liter diesel CRDi Smartstream (115 hp). A 150-hp naturally aspirated unit and versions with a 48-volt electric motor are also available. The mild hybrids produce 150 hp or 180 hp (based on the 1.6-liter petrol engine) and 136 hp (based on the 1.6-liter diesel engine).
