New Kia Sorento Has Off-Road X-Line Version

The X-Line version is distinguished by its body kit, suspension and transmission settings.

The line-up of the new Kia Sorento is supplemented with an off-road X-Line version with increased ground clearance, recalibrated chassis, more practical bumpers and non-alternative all-wheel drive. While the Sorento X-Line is announced for the US market, the geography of sales may be expanded in the future.

The presentation of the Kia Sorento X-Line was held in North America, where the elevated SUV will go on sale first. Relative to the conventional fourth-generation Sorentos, its ground clearance is increased by 25 mm and reaches 211 mm. The increase is achieved through different chassis settings, installation of 20-inch alloy wheels and higher profile tires.

The all-wheel drive system is supplemented with Snow mode, and the standard Sorento X-Line features a descent set of driver-assistance systems.

The top-end versions have a 2.5-liter 285-hp (421 Nm) turbo V4 and an 8-speed DCT. The Kia Sorento with a 2.5-liter engine can be front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
