New VW SUV Resembles BMW X6

Volkswagen has designed a new SUV that is called the Tayron X.

It has received a coupe-like silhouette, the trend for which was introduced by the BMW X6 at one time.

As it was ABOUTCARS revealed, the new Volkswagen model is based on the well-known VW Tiguan. But in fact, the new vehicle is a more stylish version of the Volkswagen Tayron designed specifically for the Chinese market.

The Tayron X will also not appear outside of China. In the near future, anyway. Though, the model could be popular among European buyers, especially considering that the new model is technically unified with the Volkswagen Tiguan.

The length, width and height of the VW Tayron X are 4,626 mm, 1,860 mm and 1,662 mm, respectively. The wheelbase is 2730 mm. It is powered by a 2.0-liter 220-hp turbo petrol engine, working in conjunction with a 7-speed semi-automatic gearbox. All-wheel drive will be available as an option.

It is expected that the standard Volkswagen Tayron X will cost $28,000. This is a fairly expensive car for the Chinese market, but VW SUVs are in high demand there.
