Panoz Presents the Avezzano Sports Car

The customer has finally waited for his car, work on which began at the end of 2017.

The Avezzano GT4 front-engine coupe debuted in 2016 as a race car. The car won six times in the Pirelli World Challenge championship season in the following year. After that, the company announced plans to release a road version of the model. The first customer’s car has been fully assembled only today.

The Panoz Avezzano road car was introduced in 2017, replacing the Panoz Esperante sports coupe, although the latter did not disappear from the company's list of available models.

The American manufacturer Panoz from Georgia does not produce many cars. The vast majority of cars sold are racing models. The company has its own racing teams to participate in several championships, so it uses sports cars for its own needs. The Panoz team holds the “24 hours of Le Mans” winner title of 2006 in the GT2 class and “12 hours of Sebring” title of the same year.

The Panoz Avezzano is powered by a General Motors-sourced supercharged LT4 V8 Chevy Camaro ZL1 engine with a power output of 650 hp. It is combined with a six-speed manual transmission, routing power to the rear wheels. The road model features a GT4-style front splitter, hood louvers, a five-point harness and 20-inch wheels. The Avezzano is valued at $159.000.
