Polaris Announces the New Slingshot Three Wheeler

However, it is possibly about updating the autocycle.

Minnesota-based Polaris distributed a teaser video of its three-wheeled autocycle, the Slingshot.

The short teaser video reveals only the car’s new face, which appears to change the round headlamps of the 2019 model for stylized lights. The central front lighting represents a formal light bar.

It should be reminded that the Polaris Slingshot was introduced in 2014. The autocycle is available in two configurations – closed and open. In the latter case, the interior is damp-proof; it can even be cleaned in a tunnel wash.

The front suspension has double wishbones and a stabilizer bar. The basic Slingshot is equipped with 17-inch front wheels and 18-inch rear wheels, while the more expensive model is equipped with 18-inch front wheels and 20-inch rear wheels.

The Polaris Slingshot is powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder GM engine which produces 173 hp. It is possible that after the update, the autocycle will get a modern engine; it will be probably a 2-liter turbocharged unit from the Cadillac CT4. The new model’s premiere date has not yet been announced.
