Porsche patented an electric flying car

A Porsche patent was found on the Web for an electric flying car.

A few months ago, it became known about the intention of Porsche and Boeing to jointly develop a flying car. Recently, a German automaker's patent was found on the Web that describes a similar car.

The document was discovered by the user Taycan EV Forum; it was submitted by Porsche to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in July 2019, and published in January 2020. The patent describes an electric flying machine vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL).

The patent includes schematic representations of the described apparatus. You can see that the car is equipped with four large propellers (two in front and two larger ones in the back), as well as a small cabin where two people can sit. The patent describes the apparatus as completely electric.

It is known that Porsche and Boeing jointly prepare air taxis, however, it is unclear whether the device described in the Porsche patent is the very concept that is currently being worked on.
