Porsche Reveals Specifications of Most Powerful Panamera

The super hybrid is second in power only to the Taycan Turbo S.

The Turbo S E-Hybrid, which temporarily gives way to the petrol Turbo S, has reappeared in the Panamera family. The Turbo S E-Hybrid will be equipped with a powertrain that produces 700 hp and 870 Nm, making it the second most powerful Porsche after the 761-hp Taycan Turbo S EV.

The petrol-electric unit of the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid is powered by a 4.0-liter turbo V8 turbo boosted from 550 hp to 571 hp. It comes with a 136-hp electric motor, the power output of which remains the same. The upgraded flagship model accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, which is 0.2 seconds less than that of its predecessor. Its top speed is increased to 315 km/h (+5 km/h).

Porsche has also increased the hybrid's battery capacity from 14.1-17.9 kWh. Along with this, an all-electric range is now 50 km (WLTP).

The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid equipped with a 2.9-liter 330-hp biturbo V6 has also returned to the family. Paired with an electric motor, the car produces 462 hp and accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds (0.2 seconds faster than its predecessor). Its top speed is increased to 280 km/h (+2 km/h).

The junior 4 E-Hybrid, like the flagship, has received an upgraded battery and is now able to drive up to 56 km on a single charge (WLTP).

Introduced in August, the new 560-hp 4 SE-Hybrid has got three plug-in hybrid powertrains. The model is available in three body styles: a regular hatchback, a long-wheelbase Executive version, and a Sport Turismo station wagon.

Another new model is the Panamera 4S, which retains a 2.9-liter 440-hp biturbo engine. With the Sport Chrono package, it reaches 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, which is 0.1 seconds faster than that of its predecessor. The model’s top speed is increased to 295 km/h (+6 km/h). A sports body kit with a SportDesign bumper and redesigned air ducts and headlights is now available in standard equipment.

Porsche promises to reveal prices for the new models in the near future. At the end of September, it became known that the company was preparing another new car: a mysterious version of the 911 Coupe, which will premiere in January.
