Rear-Wheel Drive and Single Engined: Porsche Introduces the Standard Variant of the Taycan

Porsche is gradually introducing modifications to the electric Taycan.

First, the Turbo and Turbo S, powerful twin-engined versions, were released, then the more budget-friendly 4S, which is also equipped with two electric motors, entered the market.

Now, the manufacturer has introduced a standard version of the model, which is available with an electric motor and a rear-wheel drive system.

A power output of the standard Taycan, which by the way does not have any prefixes in the name, is 408 hp. A 414-km drive range is provided by a 79.2-kWh battery pack.

Customers who want a larger range can choose the standard Taycan with a 93.4-kWh Performance Plus battery pack. It provides an all-electric range of up to 490 km. A power output of the engine in this modification is increased to 476 hp.

Both versions of the Taycan have a 0-100 km/h time of 5.4 seconds and a top speed of 230 km/h. Despite its low price, the sports car has received equipment of the more expensive versions.

In particular, it is equipped with an adaptive air suspension and an electrically controlled differential lock. This version of the Porsche Taycan will first be released in China. Later, it will be available in other key global markets.
