Now, the design of the sedan corresponds to the rest of the brand's models.

The Genesis G70, which has been on sale since 2017, has undergone a planned upgrade. The sedan is designed in the style of the latest G80 and GV80: it has got a new radiator grille, two-tier headlights and air intake slots on the front fenders. The upgrade has also affected the interior of the vehicle.

From the back, you can notice oval exhaust pipes, a license plate moved to the bumper and the brand name located on the trunk lid instead of the logo. The main innovation inside is a 10.25-inch infotainment system (previously, there was an 8-inch one) with over-the-air updates.

The «younger» sedan in the line-up is announced to be released with old powertrains in the domestic market, namely 2.0-liter and 3.3-liter turbo petrol engines (252 hp and 370 hp, respectively) and a 2.2-liter turbo diesel unit (202 hp). It was expected that the engine range will include a new 2.5-liter V4, but this did not happen.

Modifications may vary depending on the market. Earlier, it was reported that the updated G70 would lose a manual transmission (such a transmission was available for the rear-wheel drive version) due to low demand in the US.
