SEAT Unveils the New Cupra Leon

The latest Leon has received two body types and several power options at once.

The line-up of the new Cupra brand has been supplemented with two Leon models: a five-door hatchback and a station wagon, also known as the Sportstourer. For the first time, the Leon has received a hybrid version with the ability to recharge.

Externally, the Cupra Leon is distinguished not only by a new logo on the radiator grille, but also by spectacular 19-inch wheels (the standard ones are 18 inches), a special matte body color, as well as more aggressive bumpers.

The main innovations in the cabin are sports seats and a special dark aluminum decor. Also, the new Leon has an additional design option for a digital cockpit called ‘Sport View’.

The Cupra Leon is powered by a 2-liter turbo engine, which, depending on the version, produces 245 hp or 300 hp. A 310-hp version is also available for the AWD Sportstourer. The top-end Leon accelerates from 0-qoo km/h in 4.8 seconds. A top is traditionally limited at 250 km/h.

The Cupra Leon eHybrid is equipped with a 1.4-liter 150-hp 1.4 TSI unit that is paired with a 115-hp electric motor. The declared total power of such a powertrain is 245 hp. An all-electric drive is about 60 km. A full charge from the electrical house outlet will take 6 hours. You can recharge the battery with the help of a special device in 3.5 hours.

The new Cupra Leon will be released in Europe in the last quarter of 2020.
