Skoda Has Deliberately Shown Its New Electric SUV

The 2021 Skoda Enyaq iV was tested almost without camouflage wrap.

Carscoops has published spy photos of the Skoda Enyaq iV prototype in the production body. The car was seen during road tests. Interestingly, the Czech brand did not even try to carefully hide the look of the EV, which will be released in Europe before the end of 2020. Small strips of camouflage wrap cover only fog lights, taillights and body sides.

The front end of the Skoda Enyaq iV is decorated with a fake radiator grille with closely matched thin headlights. Three air intakes are visible on the front bumper. A slightly curved roof line ends with a neat spoiler.

There are no photos of the interior yet. It is expected that the interior of the new Skoda will be decorated in a technological style with a digital cockpit and a free-standing infotainment system. The list of equipment will include modern active security systems.

The new model built on the MEB platform will be offered with rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive systems. The standard version will receive a 146-hp electric motor and a 55-kWh battery. This is enough to provide a drive range of up to 340 km. The average configuration features a 180-hp motor and a 62-kWh battery. A drive range is slightly more than 390 km. The top-end version will be equipped with a 204-hp electric motor and an 82-kWh battery, which provides a 500-km drive range.
