According to one of the American dealers, Tesla updated the list of rules in its Unsupported Vehicle Policy, adding the line:

Supercharging and/or ‘fast charging’ through 3rd party chargers of the Salvage-Titled vehicle is permanently disabled.

Tesla notes that it reserves the right to deactivate the possibility of fast charging in any brand’s electric car that will be considered dangerous. If it is found that a 3rd party has made modifications that will still allow the car to have fast charging bypassing the ban, then Tesla will be able to file a lawsuit against such craftsmen to obtain compensation.

The automaker also warned that any car listed even once would be disabled permanently and this status could not be changed later.
