French Company Turns Racing Car Into SUV

The manufacturer has turned the standard Alpine A110 into an SUV that is called the Alpine A110 Sports.

The car is built in a single copy and is positioned as a model for outdoor activities, which is indicated not only by its sporty design but also by the SportX name. The “off-road” version features new front and rear bumpers, and a metal underbody protection. Its body is expanded by 80 mm through redesigning wheel arches and fenders.

The sports car features a ground clearance increased by 60 mm and black wheels shod in tires with an aggressive tread patter. All this, according to the designers, should increase the cross-country ability of the car. There is also a roof rack for transporting skis and snowboards.

Technically, the Alpine A110 SportsX does not differ from the Alpine A110 Pure. The new model is equipped with a 1.8-liter 252-hp turbo petrol engine, a 7-speed semi-automatic gearbox, and rear-wheel drive (all-wheel drive versions are not available).
