As ABOUTCARS has found out, a 1949 ZIS-110B convertible is put up for sale on one of the web-sites. The car costs $630,000! By the way, you can buy three Lamborghini Uruses or eight BMW X7s with that money.

This high price is possibly due to a number of factors. Firstly, the ZIS-110 itself is a rare model (a total of 2,089 copies were produced), and the convertible version is even more so. Secondly, this car is a movie star: it was owned by the Odessa film studio for many years, so the luxury old-timer starred in more than one film. Thirdly, the limousine was restored using original spare parts and, accordingly, is in excellent condition: a great success for a 70-year-old car.

Since the cost is still too high, the ZIS cannot be sold since the summer of 2017. But then, it cost only more than $700,000. By the way, they also sold a regular ZIS-100 (with a metal roof), but it cost much cheaper, $450,000.

It is worth noting that the ZIS-110 was produced from 1945 to 1961 (and the convertible – from 1949 to 1957). It was a six-meter passenger car of the executive class, intended for the highest ranks of the USSR. The vehicle was the based on the American Packard 180, which was equipped with a 6.0-liter 8-cylinder inline engine. The ZIS-110 reached a top speed of 140 km/h.
