The New Skoda Octavia RS Is Revealed in a Diesel and Petrol Versions

Four months ago, Skoda introduced a hybrid version of the Octavia RS, which received the prefix ‘iV’ in the name.

It became the first electrified model of the Czech brand. Now the company has released petrol and diesel versions of the car, which will be presented in a liftback body and a wagon body.

As the plug-in hybrid, the Octavia RS is equipped with a 2.0-liter TSI turbo engine with 242 hp and 370 Nm, which comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission and a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch gearbox as an option. A 0-100 km/h time is 6.7 seconds, and a top speed is 250 km/h.

The diesel version is equipped with a 2.0-liter TDI unit that develops 200 hp and 400 Nm. The unit is combined exclusively with a DSG transmission. An all-wheel drive system is available as an option. The diesel Octavia RS accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds.

All versions of the Octavia RS have received a sports body kit that debuted earlier on the RS iV model, a blackened radiator grille, unique bumpers, exclusive LED fog lights and matrix headlights. The image is completed by 18-inch black wheels with red brake calipers.

The interior of the new Octavia is finished in black, which is set off by decorative inserts and red stitching. The equipment includes sports seats, a three-spoke leather-covered steering wheel, a digital dashboard and a multimedia console with an enlarged screen.
