The letter M, which appeared in the name of the car, means ‘Modificata’, or “modified”: this is how the company describes models that have experienced evolutionary changes with significantly improved specifications.

The main technical update is a new 3.9-liter turbo V8, which has been upgraded by 20 hp compared to its predecessor and now produces 620 hp. An exhaust system of the new model is equipped with a particulate filter, bringing the car in compliance with the Euro-6 eco-standards.

Its transmission is also updated: a seven-speed semi-automatic gearbox is replaced by an eight-speed DCT and a manual rear one. The convertible accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.45 seconds and from 0-200 km/h in 9.8. A top speed has remained unchanged at 320 km/h.

The equipment now includes the Variable Cost Management system, which adjusts torque in accordance with the selected transmission, and the Side Slip Control function, which helps to align the car when sliding. In addition, the brake pedal now responds faster.

The exterior of the convertible is redesigned to reflect the increased power: the model features a new front end with a more aggressive bumper, large air intakes of a different shape and aluminum grille slats. The rear bumper is more streamlined and visually separated from the diffuser. The spokes of the wheels feature sharper edges and a diamond cut.

The interior has a fascia with an aluminum insert, a dashboard with two separate screens and a horizontally oriented 10.25-inch infotainment system touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Last week, a mysterious hybrid Ferrari covered in heavy camouflage was filmed during road tests. This prototype of the successor to the Ferrari F8 Tributo, equipped with a hybrid powertrain based on a petrol V6, probably got into the lens of the photospies.
