Hyundai Unveils Its Smallest Electric Vehicle

The drive range of the car can be increased by laughing.

Hyundai has developed the smallest electric vehicle in its line-up, namely a children's modification of the Hyundai 45 Concept. The EV is equipped with two electric motors and is driven through the so-called emotional adaptive control system.

The design of the tiny car is copied from the full-size 45 show car, which Hyundai introduced last year at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The mini version, which has not yet received its own name, has got an angular body in a retro style and headlights with a similar pattern. Unlike the full-size 45, the body of the small EV is made of wood and lacks a roof, and there is only one seat inside.

The model is driven by two DC electric motors that provide a top speed of 7 km/h. The small car's drive range is still unknown: it has yet to pass certification tests. According to Hyundai, the range can be further increased “with the help of the driver's laughter”.
