Externally, the 2021 ES does not differ from its predecessor, but the technical side has been significantly refined by the manufacturer. The luxury sedan has received a new lithium-ion battery. It has not only increased a drive range but has also reduced fuel consumption. The Lexus ES 300h consumes 4.8 liters per 100 km (WLTC), and it can travel 22.3 km on 1 liter instead of the previous 20.6 km. At the same time, the characteristics and power of the hybrid unit, which includes a 2.5-liter petrol engine and an electric motor, has remained the same – 178 hp / 202 Nm.

In addition to the upgraded rear-view camera system, all versions of the Lexus ES will receive a blind spot monitoring system and automatic braking during parking. A new 12.3-inch infotainment system now supports Apple CarPlay, SmartDeviceLink and Android Auto. What is more, the car features wireless smartphone charging.
