Porsche Taycan Cross Tourismo Unveiled

The electric station wagon will not be available for sale until next year.

Photospies managed to capture a prototype of the Porsche Taycan Crocs Turismo undergoing final tests. In the pictures new version of the electric vehicle is completely devoid of camouflage wrap, which allows you to study it in detail from all sides.

Judging by the photos, there are few external differences from the standard Taycan: a redesigned rear end and an elongated roof line, as well as an increased ground clearance. The profile of the EV resembles the Mission E Cross Turismo, which Porsche showed back in 2018. The Taycans share the same platform, namely Premium Platform Electric (PPE).

Probably, the station wagon will have the same equipment as that of the usual Taycan, such as an electric powertrain. The unit installed in the RWD 4S produces 530 hp and is powered by a 79.2-kWH hour battery. Later, more powerful variants will join the Cross Turismo family: the 680-hp Turbo, as well as the 761-hp Turbo S with a 93.4-kWh lithium-ion battery.

Initially, the station wagon, which Porsche has been developing for more than a year, was planned to be shown until the end of December. However, due to problems caused by the coronavirus pandemic, as well as unexpectedly low demand for the standard Taycan, the German brand had to postpone the premiere until 2021. More precise dates for the debut of the new EV have not yet been announced.
