The Electric BMW iX3 Is Shown Shortly Before Its Debut

BMW is preparing to officially introduce its new electric crossover, which is called the iX3.

Earlier, the manufacturer has already disclosed some technical characteristics of the future model, and now the Internet is full of official photos of the SUV.

The photos were published on the Instagram page of the user scott26.unofficial. The exterior design almost completely repeats the concept presented earlier. The difference is in a new radiator grille, blue accents on a rear bumper and side steps. The BMW iX3 has also received aerodynamic wheels, which the company announced at the beginning of the year. They are 15% lighter than standard ones. The new wheels reduce energy consumption by 2% and increase the coefficient of aerodynamics by 5%.

It is worth noting that the BMW iX3 is driven by an electric motor mounted on the rear axle. A power output of the unit is 286 hp and 400 Nm. A 440-km drive range is provided by a 74-kWh battery pack. Moreover, the electric SUV has become the company’s first model to receive the fifth-generation eDrive technology.

At the moment, it is not known when the official debut of the BMW iX3 will take place. However, based on the fact that the model will enter mass production at the end of this year, we can assume that the debut will take place in the foreseeable future.
