The New Toyota SUV Has Caused a Stir in the Market

Sales of the 2021 Toyota Harrier started exactly a month ago, but demand has already significantly exceeded supply.

The 2021 Toyota Harrier is quite popular. Initially, the manufacturer planned to sell 3,100 cars a month, but this is not enough – the car has caused a real stir!

To date, Toyota has collected 45,000 pre-orders. This means that future owners will have to wait for their cars for about 15 months.

The fourth-generation model has changed the platform (now, it is TNGA from the Toyota RAV4) and has got an increased body rigidity, what has a positive impact on driveability and comfort.

The car has also received two independent suspensions: the front suspension is from MacPherson, the rear one is multi-link. In comparison with its predecessor, the new SUV was increased in size, having received 15 mm in length (4,740 mm), 20 mm in width (1,855 mm) and having lost 30 mm in height (1,660 mm). Thanks to the increased wheelbase, there is more space in the cabin.

The new car is equipped with a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine with a power output of 171 hp and 207 Nm. The Harrier has a front-wheel drive system, but a full-wheel drive one is available at an additional cost. The hybrid Harrier is offered with a 2.5-liter engine, producing 178 hp and 221 Nm, and an AWD system with an electric motor driven rear axle.
