The Volkswagen Touareg Receives a Farewell Version

On the occasion of the release of the last V8 TDI, which the Volkswagen Touareg was equipped with, the company intends to release a special version of this SUV.

As it was announced earlier this year, Volkswagen plans to abandon one of the mid-size Touareg SUVs. We are talking about a diesel version equipped with a V8 TDI engine. Unfortunately, this engine does not meet strict standards for CO2 emissions, so the manufacturer is forced to withdraw it from production even after the measures taken.

VW will finally release a special version of the SUV, also known as the VW Touareg V8 Last Edition. In comparison with the standard model, the new SUV features LED headlights, an adaptive chassis, black trimmed wheel arches, an enlarged diffuser, black door handles, an expanded palette of body colors (Pure White, Malbec Red, Silicon Grey, Antimony Silver, Deep Black Pearl, and Oryx White Pearl), and 21-inch black wheels by Suzuka.

The limited version of the Volkswagen Touareg will be powered by a 4.0-liter V8 diesel engine with 421 hp and 900 Nm. The unit comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a 4Motion system. This engine is equipped with two turbochargers. The second is triggered at 2,200 rpm, which helps reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions to 195 g/km. A 0-100 km/h time is 4.9 seconds, and a top speed is 250 km/h.

The Volkswagen Touareg V8 Last Edition will be released in 400 copies and will be available on the German market. Its cost starts from €104,000.
