Old Rolls-Royce Models Can Drive Without Petrol

Lunaz has equipped the 1956 rolls-Royce Silver Cloud and the 1961 rolls-Royce Phantom V with electric powertrains.

Lunaz, a small company from Silverstone, has taken over the electrification of classic Rolls-Royce models. The 1956 Silver Cloud and the 1961 Phantom V are the first to abandon the petrol engine.

The company sells refurbished Rolls-Royces with fully electric powertrains. Basically, these are broken and fallen into disrepair cars that are bought at various auctions. At the request of the customer, the car can also be restored using new components.

The cars are equipped with an electric motor that produces 380 hp and 700 Nm. The Silver Cloud has an 80-kWh battery, and the Phantom –a 120-kWh one. At the same time, the drive range of these cars is the same and exceeds 480 km. A 0-100 km/h time is less than 5 seconds.

Interestingly, the Rolls-Royce Phantom V is additionally equipped with modern climate control, audio system, infotainment, and GPS. All these elements were quietly integrated into the interior of the limousine.

Lunaz plans to build 30 electric Rolls-Royces. The restored Silver Cloud on electric power will cost at least €390,000, and the Phantom – €555,000.
