Such an impressive price tag is determined by several factors. First, it is one of the seventeen coupes produced between 1934 and 1940. Second, its first owner was the well-known racer and part-time president of the Bugatti Owners’ Club Francis Curzon. He bought the coupe in May 1937.

The exterior and interior were designed taking into account the wishes of the driver, since the main purpose of the sports car was to participate in competitions.

As the seller notes, the old Bugatti has been completely restored and is on the move. Despite its age, the 220-hp engine, working in conjunction with a 4-speed manual transmission, starts «with a half-turn».

It is assumed that this particular car was found in the garage of a British man, Harold Carr, who died in 2007. The coupe has been idle since the early 1960s. In 2009, the sports car was sold at auction in Paris for €3.4 million.
