A Modern Dodge Challenger Is Turned into an Iconic Charger Daytona

The original Dodge Charger Daytona is an iconic car for race fans. Dodge released a special tribute model a few years ago. However, there is another way to get this car at your disposal.

The 2013 Dodge Challenger was used as the basis for the Charger Daytona. If you are not interested in the NASCAR, you will probably find it hard to understand what the greatness of the original model is.

And it lies in the fact that just a year after the release, in 1970, the original Dodge Charger Daytona was the first in the history of this series to break the mark of 322 km/h. It was accomplished due to excellent aerodynamics and a powerful 7-liter Hemi V8 engine.

The modern Dodge Challenger derived the same aerodynamic properties thanks to the Daytona package, which really made the car look like an iconic sports car. The interior is also very impressive. After all, since this Challenger was released before the facelift, its white leather interior with red stitching and the Daytona’s embroidery looks properly old-school.

However, there was also a place for a multi-function steering wheel and a transmission lever in the form of a gun, as well as for electric seats, a 7-speaker Boston Acoustics stereo system and a 6.5-inch touchscreen. The car is equipped with a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine. Together with a five-speed automatic transmission, the unit produces 372 hp.

What is especially awesome is that the car is in excellent condition and is made in compliance with the details. Even the famous pop-up headlights are taken into account. A mileage of this Challenger is only 3,000 km.
