New Stylish Tuning Kit Developed for BMW M8

AC Schnitzer has revealed a tuning kit for the M8 Gran Coupe Competition.

Germany-based AC Schnitzer has developed a stylish body kit for the BMW M8 Gran Coupe Competition. The experts also suggest reconfiguring a suspension, replacing an exhaust system and wheels, and boosting an engine (+95 hp and +100 Nm).

The studio's aerodynamic kit for the M8 Gran Coupe is less extravagant than a two-year-old body kit for the regular 8-Series coupe: the designers have installed a small front splitter, elegant carbon skirts and a compact two-part spoiler. The wheel size is also increased (21 inches): custom front wheels are shod in Pirelli 275/30 R21 tires, and the rear ones – in Pirelli 285/30 R21 tires.

An engine of the M8 can now chip tuned, and standard suspension springs can be replaced with sports ones undersized by 15-20 mm. A special firmware and exhaust system with electronically controlled dampers allows you to increase a power output of the Competition from 625 hp and 750 Nm to 720 hp and 850 Nm. The standard M8 can be boosted up to 700 hp and 850 Nm.

AC Schnitzer‘s kit for the BMW M8 is not a record: G-Power is ready to boost the model up to 820 hp and 1000 Nm, and Manhart can squeeze 823 hp and 1050 Nm out from a 4.4-liter engine. However, it is possible that the 720-hp boost from AC Schnitzer is only the first stage.
