The Biggest BMW SUV Is Now Cooler and a Supercar

The huge BMW X7 SUV is turned into the Alpina XB7. This means that the car has received a powerful engine and many other improvements.

The release of almost every new BMW model is accompanied by a more productive, luxurious and expensive modification from Alpina over time. Now the same fate has overtaken the BMW X7 SUV.

The new product called Alpina XB7 demonstrates characteristics of a real supercar. The sports SUV currently represents a compromise between the still-defunct BMW X7 M and the most powerful production version of the X7 M50i at the moment.

The new Alpina is based exactly on the latter model. The already top-end X7 SUV produces impressive 530 hp. However, Alpina’s experts have boosted a power output of the 4.4-liter biturbo V8 to crazy 621 hp. A 0-100 km/h time now takes only 4.2 seconds. A top speed is electronically limited to 290 km/h if compared with previous 250 km/h.

Besides, the XB7 is equipped with a modified brake system and differential, new compressors, an improved exhaust system and 8-speed automatic transmission.

Alpina's signature 20-spoke wheels are available in the 21-23-inch range, but the list of available options does not end there. The huge SUV has received a distinctive body kit and a new palette of colors. If necessary, you can replace the interior trim for extra charge. The base price of the Alpina XB7 is €155,000 in Germany.
