The Subaru XV Is Turned Into a Cool-Looking SUV

The Subaru XV SUV tried on a racing livery, rose 27 cm above the ground and got "toothy" off-road tires.

A special «rally» set for the Subaru XV SUV was prepared by Crawford Performance. The off-road buggy body is painted in the traditional blue and gold livery. There is an additional lighting unit on the front bumper. The ground clearance of the tuned Subaru XV is increased from 220 to 270 mm.

Also, the Subaru SUV has a strengthened underbody protection and new Method wheels with off-road tires.

All elements of the tuning kit can be purchased separately, including tires and steel side steps. A set of spacers that raise the front and back end will cost $550. The tuners are ready to install them only for 10 cars so far. Aluminum engine protection will cost another $160.

The tuners were inspired to design a rally buggy based on the Subaru XV SUV by the Crosstrek Desert Racer. It was presented to the general public in May 2019. Then Subaru’s American branch sponsored the Grabowski Brothers Racing team in the Baja 500 rally. Crawford Performance was working on a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated unit for the buggy, which increased its power to 304 hp.
