Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon by Jacob & Co

Jacob & Co is perhaps the only watchmaker in the world that creates masterpieces in the style of sports cars. Last year, the company signed a partnership agreement with Bugatti. Inspired by the Bugatti Chiron, Jacob & Co has recently presented a new timepiece.

The new hand-wound watch is called the Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon. This timepiece is equipped with a miniature version of the W16, which is hand-assembled from 578 parts and has incredible detail. It has a cylinder block, crankshaft, and pistons that move up and down, simulating the engine's functioning. It is only necessary to press the button on the right side of the case and the mechanism will be activated.

In order to make it more realistic, the company's specialists added two small turbochargers on the side of the watch, which rotate during the miniature engine’s activation. Moreover, the watch received a 30-degree inclined flying tourbillon suspended on four strunts to simulate the car’s suspension. The final touch in this complex mechanism was the repeater, which simulates the realistic sound of the hypercar’s engine.

The watch case is made of steel and sapphire crystal. There is an option to decorate a timepiece with jewels. Only 250 Bugatti Chiron Tourbillons will be produced, the cost of each is $280.000.
