Toyota’s Truck Is Turned Into a Supercar

American driver Brad DeBerti in collaboration with Toyota’s sports division has designed an unusual drift car based on a Tacoma truck.

The drift car designed by DeBerti and Toyota Racing Development (TRD) has only Tacoma's passenger compartment and nearly the same front design. As can be seen, the car has got a significantly reduced ground clearance, as well as new bumpers and a large spoiler.

As for the powertrain, it is a V8 TRD engine, which is equipped in NASCAR’s cars and produces about 900 hp. The intake is so large that it does not fit completely into the hood space.

It is indicated that the car makers have spent only 90 days on designing of this drift car. DeBerti tells more about the build in a video published on his YouTube channel.
