Einride Showcases Remotely Operated Trucks with No Cab Space and Windows

Einride, a Swedish tech company, has shown how one remote Autonomous Electric Transport (AET) operator can control multiple vehicles. A new video published by the company demonstrates how the system works.

The video shows a man sitting in front of several screens that display images from truck cameras. Apparently, the operator uses familiar vehicle control. In any case, you can see how the person uses a steering wheel to control one of the trucks.

On highways, Einride’s trucks can drive themselves, but on main roads, an operator will remotely manage the system. The trucks are designed for fixed short and medium routes. The company expects that one operator will eventually be able to safely manage up to 10 trucks.
